Hunks for Hounds

Hustle down to Hunks for Hounds - the hottest adoption event of the year!

From 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., we'll have our mobile adoption van on-site with adorable and adoptable dogs who are ready to find their forever homes.

The Kings of Hustler are hosting the event at Larry Flynt's Hustler Club. They'll have their Hunks there, posing for photos and supporting our adoption event!

When: January 17th from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Why: Pet adoptions in the U.S. are down, while relinquishments are on the rise due to inflation and housing insecurity. Approximately 1 in 6 dog owners gave up a dog during the past year, with nearly a third citing the inability to afford dog food and/or veterinary care as a contributing reason. Year to date, The Animal Foundation has taken in more than 2,700 owner surrenders. An estimated 245,000 additional dogs and cats are waiting in the shelter system this holiday season compared to last year which raises concerns of overcrowding.
